Interview with Norman Mailer, The Australian Financial Review, 16 November, 1984

Being more than 30 years old, this clipping is in poor condition. Our apology. Better version provided if ever found. The interview with Mailer, conducted in London, was particularly memorable.

The Outsider takes a new look at human violence, Colin Wilson interview, Financial Review, 11 May, 1984.

I might not be that kind to this particular book, but Colin Wilson was a very enjoyable interview, he took me to his club, he seemed chuffed by the attention, being then rather out of favour, and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting him.

Anthony Burgess: Clockwork Orange author's 'best' list is an audacious and healthy exercise, The Financial Review, 4 May, 1984.

This is the first half of a story based on an interview with Anthony Burgess. The other half will be put here if found.
The backstory behind the interview can be found in a chapter in the memoir Hunting the Famous.
The clippings are more than 32 years old, hence their poor condition.
If a better version is found it will be placed here.

Mention, Capital Gay, !30: Time Tunnel, 10 February, 1984.

Mention of story on Fay Weldon in a review of The Bell, where I worked every Sunday picking up glasses. The pub went through a period where it was extremely fashionable; it was frequented by Bronski Beat and others in that crowd. I became friendly with Derek Jarman there, who was always extremely encouraging as I interviewed various authors for papers back home.
