CASH rich and time poor? There are enough such people out there looking for everything from a lifestyle hobby farm to a serious rural investment to justify the formation of a new service -- Farm Finder.
Farm Finder arose out of [Andrews]' 15-year career in agri- business, predominantly with farm and rural business finance. He worked for the Primary Industry Bank of Australia, later to be called Piba/Rabo.
Farm Finder's service involves sitting down with the prospective purchaser, finding out what they are looking for, matching the buyer with the property, organising the financial side of things and, where a manager is required, linking the city investor with theappropriate people.

The ideas among the small group gathering on Sydney's north shore are diverse. There's the chap who wants to take control of his life by setting up a business, Abraham Sculptures, selling his creations directly to customers rather than flogging his wares around the art galleries; the woman who is setting up a business, Colours For Life, to show people how to colour co-ordinate their lives; and the retired teacher who is setting up a homework assistance program called Tutor 4 U for time-poor parents.
Getting Started never got off the ground, but [Susan Leith-Miller] now runs groups under her Spare Room Tycoon banner from the Central Coast to the Southern Highlands of NSW.

Australian College of Midwives national chief executive Alana Street said training of midwives was under threat after insurance was withdrawn for students on placement in Victoria.
The threat to agency staff, and midwifery students, added to the problem for independent midwives, president of the NSW Midwives Association Pat Brodie said.
"Within the last six months most independent midwives across Australia have lost their indemnity," she said. "All of them will have lost it by the end of this month. There is an urgency for the commonwealth Government to consider including midwifery in the review of indemnity for obstetricians."

Abstract

After a tumultuous period of leadership he was challenged by Billy McMahon and both men drew equal votes in the party room ballot. Sir John voted against himself and consequently out of the prime ministership. In 1975, he resigned from the party in protest at Malcolm Fraser becoming leader.
While Mr [John Howard] and Sir John were not always close, that changed recently. Mr Howard visited Sir John in hospital where they shared a cup of tea less than three weeks ago. In a recent speech Mr Howard paid tribute to Sir John's "sacrifice and gallantry".
Liberal Party treasurer Malcolm Turnbull said: "Despite his differences at times with the Liberal Party, he was a very great Liberal and represented all the finest traditions of Australian liberalism."
