A rural property specialist with Elders, Malcolm French, said the offering of Balmoral Stations was "one of the largest land and cattle offerings ever in the history of the West Australian pastoral industry".

ONE of the largest land and cattle holdings to come on the Australian market, a conglomerate of five properties known as theBalmoral Station in Western Australia, is expected to fetch about $30 million.
The adjoining properties, in the East Kimberley region of the Ord river catchment, are owned by the Green family, the largest beef exporters in Western Australia.
The holding company, E.G. Green and Sons, is offloading the properties to enable it to concentrate on their processing operations inthe south of the state. The company has been a major cattle producer in the Kimberleys since the 1970s.
The five stations come with a total of 40,000 head of Brahmin cattle, regarded as one of the state's best herds.
The properties can be bought together or are being offered in three different parcels:
Lissadell Station: 117,250ha with an additional 47,000ha of Waters and Rivers Commission lease fronting Lake Argyle and including 18,000 cattle.

Texas Downs and the northern portion of Mabel Downs stations: 247,430ha, destocked. Claimed to have good tourism potential.
The most northerly boundary is 160km south of Kununarra, extending approximately 200km south along the Great Northern Highway to within 20km of the township of Halls Creek.
"It's good cattle country," the general manager of the station, Hugh Barnett, said. "There is good clean water and good pasture.
"It is one of the safest areas in northern Australia. It is not drought-stricken.
"The Kimberleys are described as the last frontier, but it is unspoilt and has enormous potential. Areas where there is clean good water are at a premium in Australia."
A rural property specialist with Elders, Malcolm French, said the offering of Balmoral Stations was "one of the largest land and cattle offerings ever in the history of the West Australian pastoral industry".
"With excellent management programs in place, accredited cattle care, quality waters and many improvements, Balmoral Stations is one of the finest station aggregations we have ever had the pleasure of offering."
Balmoral Stations will be auctioned in Perth on October 29 by the joint selling agents Elders Real Estate and Rural Property Services.
