Note from Patricia Karvelas, 13 November, 2002.

Patricia Karvelas was always striking on the news floor of The Australian for her good looks, youth, high intelligence, take no prisoners style and the fact she was an unashamedly out lesbian on the nation's leading conservative or right wing newspaper.
She went on to have a distinguished career at Radio National, where every politician in the country respectfully calls her "Patricia", as if the very name inspires some kind of awe, or sends chills down their collective spines.

Patricia Karvelas has been a prominent senior journalist in the Australian media for two decades, beginning her professional career in broadcast journalism at the ABC and SBS as both a producer and presenter.

She currently presents RN's flagship current affairs program RN Drive—a role she began in January 2015.

Previously Patricia worked for The Australian newspaper, beginning in 2002, covering federal politics. She most recently worked as the Victorian Bureau Chief and Editor and Senior National Affairs Journalist.

Before this she was The Australian's political correspondent in the Canberra press gallery.

Patricia was a regular fill-in presenter on 774 ABC Melbourne before joining RN Drive, and frequently appears on a range of television and radio programs including RN's Sunday Extra and ABC TV's The Drum.

She is a regular op-ed writer for The Australian and The Drum.

Can't find the story she is referring to.
I think it is a follow for these stories in the same month on Hizb ut-Tahrir.
At the time she was breaking a string of Islamic related stories. I asked her once how she did it.
"I just ring them up," she replied.
